Alex Chisnall - Director and Founder of StartUp U

I am an entrepreneur who helps other entrepreneurs, small business owners and freelancers make a full time living turning their passion into profit and doing what they love.

I started out working for Virgin Atlantic Airways then transitioned into the business world after being inspired by my boss, Sir Richard Branson, to start my own business.

After launching two of my own startups, one online and one bricks and mortar, I revisited to the Virgin family by mentoring for both Virgin StartUp as well as YMCA. I now advise entrepreneurs and small business owners on funding and scaling their businesses.

I am also host of the show "Screw it, Just do it", a weekly podcast where I interview one of the world's influnecers and leaders in business as well as an entrepreneur who is aspiring to be a leader in their space.

Alex Minkey - business advisor

Alex started his career in sales straight from college. At 18 Alex was offered a 1-year placement within the FX Treasury Sales Team at a major German Bank in London, where he successfully researched and identified new opportunities for the business. This gave Alex direct exposure to clients including major global banks, institutions and hedge funds. Upon the completion of his time at the bank, Alex began his degree course in Business and Finance at Bournemouth University. Having a keen interest in entrepreneurial ventures, Alex very quickly discovered Virgin Start Up, and there began his involvement with the team. Alex very much enjoys discovering new entrepreneurial talent and assisting them on their journey.
