Lucy has 20 plus years of B2B marketing experience - mostly in software, but also for small businesses. She was the second UK hire and marketer on the team who launched Xero in the UK. She also co-founded the Small Business Finance School, is the author of ‘Find Your Thing’, and most recently before joining Statzy was co-founder of a Xero CRM add on app for small service businesses. MBA qualified, she has run her own marketing and web design consultancy since 2005.
Statzy is a mobile app that lets you see your social media, marketing, sales and money stats in one place collected from the business apps and software that you already use. It’s like a Fitbit for business that motivates you to reach your business goals. At Statzy Lucy co-hosts monthly Stats Sprints in the Vital Statistics group, and is obsessed with helping small business owners work out their vital and vanity statistics to do more of what works, and less of what doesn’t.
Screwitjustdoit Founder & Mentor
Alex launched his career with BBC Radio, interviewing both current affairs and sporting figures for their daily news programme, and went on to host his own entertainment show.
He left to travel the world with Virgin Atlantic Airways where, inspired by working for Sir Richard Branson, he left to start a number of startups in the health and fitness industry, both online and off-line.
He then put the knowledge gained into mentoring entrepreneurs for both Ymca and later, Virgin StartUp.
From there he used his expertise to work for Virgin StartUp as a business advisor, and has helped over 500 business to date. Alex then set up his own business called StartUPU, who are now a regional provider for Virgin StartUp funding. Alex and his team help entrepreneurs all over the country start and grow their businesses through a regular 'live' events programme, Virgin StartUp funding and his podcast. As such he has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs with their brands, as well as working on live events with iconic brands such as Virgin, Ted Baker, Candy Kittens, and many more.
As part of his strategy to grow his own business Alex launched his podcast, "Screw it, Just do it".

Debbie Sadd is a Principal Academic in the Department of Events and Leisure within the Faculty of Management at Bournemouth University, where she lectures Strategy & Leadership, Change Management, Strategic Planning and Marketing on both the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Other activities include being part of the ESRC funded Sports Tourism initiative (STORMING) to undertake research into Sports Tourism opportunities and challenges, and the F.A.M.E. framework of event evaluation (HEIF Funded) and the FestiM project using social media to measure event reach.
Working in software since graduating in 1989, Andrew is now on his fourth startup and has experienced the lows and highs of starting and growing software companies. His last startup, Clicktools was bootstrapped from 3 to over 50 people and was partly acquired by SurveyMonkey before being fully acquired by Callidus. Now, as well as mentoring with Virgin Startups, Andrew is working on Statzy, a mobile first software solution to help SMEs understand and grow their business.

Russ has 30 years of experience in the UK Financial Services Market, working with organisations such as Barclays and more recently LV= where he supported the Managing Director of the Life and Pensions business over a period of significant success and industry change - in this role he was the trusted eyes, ears and counsel of the MD for nearly half a decade.
